Iraq plan spells doom; so does civil war

I don't know what makes me madder --- looking back at the utter incompetence that got us into this disaster in Iraq, or looking ahead at the nightmare that shows every sign of getting worse.

If you choose to look back, a new study from the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction confirms yet again that the Bush administration made little preparation for rebuilding Iraq, even though it had known for at least a year that the invasion was coming.
