Quote of the day

"I don't treat my dog like that," 47-year-old Daniel Edwards said as he pointed at a dead woman in the wheelchair. "I buried my dog." He added: "You (Bush) can do everything for other countries but you can't do nothing for your own people. You can go overseas with the military but you can't get them down here."

I'm kind of ashamed now to think about how much I bitched last year about losing power for 3 days at a time. Nothing I went through begins to come close to what's happening in NO. And screw those religious assholes who say they got what they deserved --- nobody deserves that ! How could you worship a God that would be that cruel ?

I wanna know why relief is taking so long? Didn't tsunami victims at least get dry biscuits to eat and water to drink dropped down to them? Why are these people having to wait so long for ANYTHING?

Because they aren't white, they aren't rich and chances are they aren't Republican. Therefore they are disposable in the eyes of Dubya and his minions.
