Not quite sure what it is but it's spectacular. Reminds me of a bat. It looks military related but is it a helicopter or a plane? Any experts out there who can identify it?

Looks like a jellyfish, lit from below..
I think you've stumbled onto classified photos from Area 51. Don't answer your door...

LOL! Hang on... someone's at the door.
It looks like a large helicopper. The flares could be to illunimate a combat area or it could be used to fool the anti-aircraft missles, some of which use heat seaking gudance. A great picture.
